10th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival Accepting Submissions

News   10th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival Accepting Submissions The Midtown International Theatre Festival has announced that submissions of new and classic works for the stage are now being accepted for the 2009 summer festival.

The festival accepts plays, musicals, solo shows, new works and revivals: The only stipulation is that each project must have a producer and production team attached. The postmark date for submission deadline is Feb. 6. "This is the most important theatre festival in New York City because new shows won't get lost in an ocean of 249 other shows. The MITF has no hidden costs – this festival offers the most competitive package of any festival in the area. And we have a higher ratio of paid staff than anyone else to help producers make the most of their experiences, from casting to marketing to press," said MITF executive producer John Chatterton in a statement.

The tenth annual Midtown International Theatre Festival will run July 13-Aug. 2. Founded in 2000 by John Chatterton, the mission of the Midtown International Theatre Festival is to present an eclectic array of works that otherwise might not be seen by the general public.
