News 110 in the Shade's Steggert to Host Nov. 17 Monday Nights, New Voices Concert Bobby Steggert, who co-starred in the Broadway revival of 110 in the Shade, will host the Nov. 17 Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The evening will celebrate the work of composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver. Among those currently scheduled to perform are Traci Bair, Nicole Beerman, Kristen Michelle Bussiere, Kathleen Gail Hennessey and Lia Menaker. The New Voices will offer selections from Oliver's songbook and will be accompanied by Will Van Dyke. Show time is 7 PM.

Barbara Anselmi will be the evening's musical director.

The New Voices series was founded by composer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York." Alan's debut recording, "Dreaming Wide Awake" — which features performances by Liz Callaway, Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Cheyenne Jackson and Jonathan Groff, among others — is available by visiting www.scottalan.net. He is currently recording his second disc, "Keys: The Music of Scott Alan."

On Broadway Bobby Steggert has been seen in the revivals of 110 in the Shade and "MASTER HAROLD" . . . and the boys. His other New York theatre credits include Camelot (New York Philharmonic), Yank! (The Gallery Players), The Slug Bearers of Kayrol Island (Vineyard), A Christmas Carol (Madison Square Garden), columbinus (New York Theatre Workshop) and The Music Teacher (New Group). Steggert's screen credits include "The Namesake," "Kinsey," "Game 6" and Sam Grey on ABC's "All My Children." The actor is a graduate of NYU and studied Shakespeare at RADA in London.

Ryan Scott Oliver wrote the music and lyrics for the 2008 Richard Rodgers Award winner Alive at Ten, as well as the song cycle Out of My Head, A Day in Space and Quit India. He is a Dramatists Guild Fellow and a Regents Scholar, and is currently working with B. T. Ryback on the music and lyrics for Darling as well as an untitled show for TheatreworksUSA.
