David Cullen is nominated for a 1999 Tony Award for Best Orchestrations for Swan Lake. Cullen has had a long-time collaboration with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, having worked on the orchestrations for Cats, Song & Dance, Starlight Express, The Phantom of the Opera, Aspects of Love and Sunset Boulevard. Other shows Cullen has orchestrated include the London revivals of Can Can, Carmen Jones and The Baker's Wife.
On record he has arranged music for Sheena Easton, Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand, Kiri Te Kanawa (Christmas Songs), Shirley Bassey, The King's Singers, Cantabile and Julian Lloyd Webber. His music for TV includes: "The Bretts," "Relative Strangers," "Surgical Spirit."
