Frank Wildhorn (composer) and Jack Murphy (lyricist), who conjured a pop version of the war between the states, The Civil War, have been nominated for a Tony Award in the category of Best Score.

Wildhorn wrote Jekyll & Hyde with Leslie Bricusse, The Scarlet Pimpernel with Nan Knighton and is collaborating with Civil War author Gregory Boyd and lyricist Murphy on the upcoming Havana, a project for Linda Eder, his actress-singer wife.

Murphy is a lyricist and composer whose work is heard on Linda Eder's albums "It's Time" and "And So Much More." He wrote the music for Silver Dollar, a stage musical seen at Goodspeed Opera House. He is lyricist for the new Eder-Wildhorn project, Havana, targeted for late 2000 or early 2001.
