Veteran orchestrator Ralph Burns and relative newcomer Douglas Besterman have won the Best Orchestrations Tony Award for Fosse.

Burns was originally a jazz pianist and an orchestrator for Woody Herman. He frequently collaborated with Bob Fosse on films and musicals, including Chicago, Sweet Charity, Dancin', the films "Cabaret," "Star 80," "All That Jazz" and "Lenny."

Besterman's work was heard in Big, Damn Yankees, King David, A Christmas Carol, and Off-Broadway's Weird Romance and Jack's Holiday, among other shows. He orchestrated the Susan Stroman ballet, But Not For Me.
