Variety reports that the Tony Awards Administrative Committee also announced that shows must open on or before May 7 to be eligible for 2003 Tony nominations. The eagerly awaited nominations will be announced May 12. As in previous years, the show is likely to be telecast in two parts, with the first hour (8-9 PM) running on PBS and CBS taking the 9-11 PM slot. A host for the program has yet to be announced.
