As a prelude to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, international classical music and opera stars will perform in a unique World Cup Gala Concert June 13. The event will be broadcast live from Moscow’s historic Red Square.

The live concert will be streamed at 1:00PM EST and will be available for free replay on medici.tv until June 15.

Conductor Valery Gergiev will lead the Mariinsky Orchestra in the kick-off event, which is set to include performances from Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Juan Diego Flórez, Yusif Eyvazov, Ildar Abdrazakov, Aida Garifullina, and Albina Shagimuratova. Pianist Denis Matsuev will also make an appearance.

Following the opening gala, the World Cup will take place in Russia June 14 and 15.
