The episode, which airs in the metropolitan area on Channel 4 at 9 PM ET, will also feature a guest appearance by Tony winner Elaine Stritch. Stritch plays series regular Alec Baldwin's mom. Jane Krakowski, who co-stars in "30 Rock," was featured in pre-Broadway workshops of Xanadu.

Xanadu, based on the 1980 Universal Pictures film of the same name, officially opened at the Helen Hayes July 10. The cast features Kerry Butler, Cheyenne Jackson, Tony Roberts, Mary Testa and Jackie Hoffman.

Xanadu boasts a book by Little Dog Laughed playwright Beane — a 2007 Tony Award nominee — and utilizes songs from John Farrar and Jeff Lynne's film soundtrack. The musical, according to press notes, "tells the story of one of the nine muses of ancient Greece who comes to earth to inspire the greatest of artistic achievements – a roller disco.
