The Deutsches Theater in Munich is celebrating its 100th birthday with a touring production of 42nd Street, a stage adaptation of the classic backstage film. George Martin has directed a cast that includes Christopher Nilsson, Bethany Smith, Steve Arlen and Holly Lee Bosil.

42nd Street will stay in Munich till the middle of August, before transferring to Mannheim and Zurich in Switzerland.

The engagement marks the third time producer Wolfgang Bocksch has brought the show back to Munich after 1991 and 1992.
