News 42nd Street's Kid-Friendly New Victory Books Little Prince, Sports (abridged) and Cirque Shanghai The New Victory Theater's fall 2011 season of shows aimed at young people — in the heart of the Times Square theatre district — will launch Oct. 1 with the New York City premiere of a new adaptation of The Little Prince, based on the classic French book.

Written by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, the adaptation of the fable by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is populated by people and puppets. It will run Oct. 1-16. The production is from Bristol Riverside Theatre in Pennsylvania. Susan Atkinson directs.

New Victory, located on West 42nd Street between Times Square and Eighth Avenue, announced its season on April 18. The programming draws from a pool of international artists and troupes.

White is Catherine Wheels Theatre Company's first show for under fives. The show premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010 and won the Fringe First, Herald Angel and Total Theatre awards."
