The awards show, which honors theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. For the last two years, the Tonys were held at the Beacon Theatre, while Radio City housed the Cirque du Soleil show Zarkana.
The official eligibility cut-off date will be April 25 for all Broadway productions opening in the 2012-13 season. The nominations for the 2013 Tonys will be announced live from New York City on April 30.
The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
