Broadway News 7 Reasons to Get Excited for Broadway’s Frozen, According to the Stars and Creative Team The Disney musical begins February 22 at the St. James Theatre.

The cast and creative team of Broadway’s Frozen met the press February 13 to offer a taste of the highly anticipated Disney musical. Take a look above as the stars of the new musical, as well as director Michael Grandage and co-composer Kristen Anderson-Lopez, sound off on moments they can’t wait for audiences to experience when the curtain rises February 22.

The group promises moments audiences will recognize from the 2013 animated film (“particularly, some of the magic that comes out of my fingertips,” teases Caissie Levy), theatrical takes on certain characters (“You’re going to literally forget it’s a puppet,” Jelani Alladin says of Kristoff’s reindeer companion Sven), and elements new to the story (“Every time I watch it, I cry,” says Anderson-Lopez of the musical’s new finale).

The stage adaptation expands the animated film to two acts, aiming to further explore character arcs and deepen relationships between them. Among the added material are several new songs, including four numbers to be released during the musical’s preview period.

Frozen will open officially March 22 at the St. James Theatre.
