Voting for Division 2, Round 1 of Broadway Brackets 2018 is complete, and the latest set of winners are in. We asked theatre fans to vote for the longest-running musicals they loved best, and here are the results:
Chicago beat out Miss Saigon with 3.42K votes compared to 1.92K votes, while Beauty and the Beast pulled ahead with 2.90K votes over Mamma Mia!'s 2.28K votes. The Lion King shut out Jersey Boys with 4.1K votes compared to 1.05K votes. In one of the tougher matchups, Wicked won with 3.05K votes over Rent's 2.09K votes.
We head into Round 2 with Phantom taking on A Chorus Line; Grease up against Les Misérables; Chicago going head to head with Beauty and the Beast; and The Lion King up against Wicked.
