The Alan Menken-Glenn Slater-Chazz Palminteri musical opened in December 2016 at the Longacre Theatre.

A Bronx Tale, the musical by Chazz Palminteri, Alan Menken, and Glenn Slater, ends its Broadway run August 5 at the Longacre Theatre. At the time of closing, the musical will have played 29 previews and 700 regular performances.

The Jerry Zaks and Robert De Niro-helmed production premiered at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse before officially opening on Broadway in December 2016. A national tour is scheduled to launch in Rochester, New York, in October before an official opening the following month in Los Angeles.

Palminteri himself joined the cast in May, playing the role of Sonny at select performances and becoming the first actor to play the same role in a play, film, and stage musical.

A Bronx Tale is directed by two-time Oscar winner De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo.

The cast also features Richard H. Blake (Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde) as Lorenzo, Adam Kaplan (Newsies, Kinky Boots national tour) as Calogero, Kimber Sprawl (Beautiful) as Jane, Lucia Giannetta (Les Misérables) as Rosina, Gerald Caesar as Tyrone, Frankie Leoni as Young Calogero, and Levi Smith as the Young Calogero alternate.

The ensemble features Joe Barbara, Michael Barra, Brianna-Marie Bell, Jonathan Brody, Ted Brunetti, Brittany Conigatti, Alex Joseph Grayson, Rory Max Kaplan, Charlie Marcus, Janelle McDermoth, Shannon Mullen, Robert Neary, Brandon O’Neill, Brandi Porter, Paul Salvatoriello, Joseph Sammour, Joseph J. Simeone, Joey Sorge, Dani Spieler, Cary Tedder, Kirstin Tucker, Keith White, and Christopher Henry Young.

The show is produced by Tommy Mottola, the Dodgers, Tribeca Productions, and Evamere Entertainment.
