Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Tommy Mottola, and Chazz Palminteri are planning to host a December 6 fundraiser performance of the new Broadway musical A Bronx Tale, with proceeds to benefit New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s re-election bid.

The New York Post first reported the news, which was confirmed by the show’s representatives. The production had no official statement on the benefit.

Based on Chazz Palminteri‘s book, film and solo play, A Bronx Tale: The Musical features a book by Palminteri, music by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin), and book and lyrics by Glenn Slater.

It officially opens December 1.

The production is co-directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony Award nominee Sergio Trujillo.

Tommy Mottola and the Dodgers with Tribeca Productions are producing the Broadway run.
