A Celebration of Jerry Orbach, set for 2 PM at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, will feature appearances by Angela Lansbury, Chita Rivera, Sam Waterston, Karen Ziemba and "Law & Order" creator/executive producer Dick Wolf. The afternoon will honor the life and career of the Tony-winning actor, who died Dec. 28, 2004, at age 69. Orbach's wife, Elaine, said in a statement, "This gathering is a loving celebration of Jerry’s life, a salute to the many wonderful shows he did, and a testament to the incredible joy he brought to his family, friends, colleagues, and fans throughout his career. We chose the Richard Rodgers Theatre because Jerry and I met there in 1976 when we both appeared in Chicago. That theatre always had a special place in our hearts."

Jerry Orbach won a Tony Award for his performance in Promises, Promises and was also nominated for his work in Chicago and Guys and Dolls. His other stage work includes the original cast of Off-Broadway's The Fantasticks as well as 42nd Street, 6 Rms Riv Vu, The Natural Look, Annie Get your Gun, Carnival and The Threepenny Opera. Orbach also had a long-running role as Lennie Briscoe on NBC's "Law & Order."

The Richard Rodgers Theatre is located at 226 West 46th Street. A limited number of seats will be available to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis.
