The Donmar Warehouse’s production of Sweat began performances in the West End June 7, transferring to London’s Gielgud Theatre after debuting at the Donmar Warehouse in December 2018. The Olivier Award-nominated production, starring Martha Plimpton, is scheduled to play a limited engagement through July 20.

In addition to Plimpton as Tracey, the London company of Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play includes Leanne Best as Jessie, Osy Ikhile as Chris, Wil Johnson as Brucie, Stuart McQuarrie as Stan, Clare Perkins as Cynthia, Sule Rimi as Evan, and Sebastian Viveros as Oscar.

Lynette Linton directs the exploration of America’s working class; her staging features sets and costumes by Frankie Bradshaw, lighting by Oliver Fenwick, and sound design and original music by George Dennis. Casting is by Amy Ball.
