Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Venus in Fur, Chicago) directs the dramatic comedy about a playwright who finally achieves the recognition he's been seeking, but with strings attached. The show will open Sept. 27 after previews that begin Sept. 8 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Performances are scheduled through Oct. 22.
Groff (Spring Awakening, Deathtrap, "Glee") is cast as playwright Danny Larsen, alongside Wesley ("True Blood," The Vertical Hour), Eddie Kaye Thomas (The Diary of Anne Frank, Bachelorette, "American Pie") and Will Rogers (When the Rain Stops Falling).
