Anna Bergman, who will be featured in the upcoming Kennedy Center production of A Little Night Music, will celebrate the release of her new solo recording with a month-long gig at Danny's, the New York cabaret.

Bergman, an international cabaret and concert artist, will begin her Danny's engagement on Sept. 4 and will also play Wednesdays, Sept. 11, 18 and 25 at 7 PM and Fridays, Sept. 13 and 27 at 9:30 PM. The singer-actress has dubbed her new act "Melody, Mélodie: A Celebration of Song from Berlin to Bizet" and will feature works by Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, George Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim, Noël Coward as well as operatic arias by Puccini.

The month-long run at Danny's coincides with the release of Bergman's debut solo CD, "Souvenir," a collection of songs about growing up abroad as the daughter of an American diplomat. "Souvenir" will be released on the LML Music label and can be ordered on-line at www.lmlmusic.com.

Bergman is currently in rehearsals for her role as Mrs. Segstrom in A Little Night Music, which begins performances at the Kennedy Center on Aug. 2. While in D.C., the singer will debut her latest act at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage on Aug. 30, just prior to her New York run.
