Skeleton Crew, the final installment in Dominique Morisseau’s three-play cycle, is set to open June 13 at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Morisseau’s trilogy, the Detroit Project, examines the racial and class divides of Detroit and the nation as a whole spanning 1949–2008.
The L.A. cast, directed by Patricia McGregor, features Amari Cheatom (Roman J. Israel, Esq.) as Dez, Caroline Stefanie Clay (Broadway’s The Little Foxes) as Faye, Kelly McCreary (Grey’s Anatomy) as Shanita, and D.B. Woodside (Lucifer) as Reggie.
