A Look at the Opening Night of The Amateurs at Vineyard Theatre

Jordan Harrison’s new play, The Amateurs, officially opened February 27 at The Vineyard Theatre. The new drama from the Marjorie Prime playwright examines the intersection of creativity, art, and crisis.

The world-premiere production, directed by Oliver Butler, began performances Off-Broadway February 8.

In The Amateurs, a scrappy troupe of pageant players attempts to outrun the Black Death across 14th-century Europe. When a new actor joins the group, leading lady Hollis is sent in search of answers.
