The U.S. premiere in Spanish of the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical In The Heights plays April 20–May 28, at GALA Theatre in Washington, DC. The production is directed and choreographed by Luis Salgado with assistant director Valeria Cossu and music director Walter “Bobby” McCoy.

The show is described as being performed “in Spanish, with some English integrated to better reflect the use of both languages by the characters. Surtitles translate Spanish to English and vice versa.”

The show stars Juan Luis Espinal as Usnavi, Laura Lebrón as Nina, Verónica Álvarez Robles as Vanessa, and Vaughn Ryan Midder as Benny.
