PlayBlog A Look Inside Chicago's Charity Night With Kara DioGuardi and Amra-Faye Wright (Video) Kara DioGuardi and Amra-Faye Wright, who play Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, respectively, in the Tony Award-winning musical Chicago were on hand Oct. 11 for a charity night event hosted by and Givenik.com and the hit Broadway musical.


Following the evening performance at the Ambassador Theatre, DioGuardi, Wright and Tony Yazbeck, who stars as Billy Flynn, made their way over to E&E Grill for a post-show reception and a meet-and-greet with fans. The event benefited the favorite charities of leading lady DioGuardi, including Phoenix House, Columbus Citizens Foundation, Malaria No More, and Sister Domingas and Friends Foundation.

Currently making her Broadway stage debut in the role of Roxie Hart, DioGuardi was introduced to America on seasons 9 and 10 of the hit Fox show “American Idol.” She is an active supporter of Phoenix House, a non-profit dedicated to leading individuals, families and communities affected by addiction from disrupted to productive lives.
