PlayBlog A Look into Leslie Kritzer's Beautiful Disaster Concert (Video) Leslie Kritzer, who recently finished a run in the Off-Broadway musical revue Newsical stepping in for injured actress Christine Pedi, performed to three sold-out audiences at Joe's Pub in her brand-new concert Beautiful Disaster.

On May 1-3 at Joe's Pub, "the year [became] 1995, and Jersey girl Leslie Kritzer [was] a senior at Livingston High School," according to press notes. "After the crushing blow of not landing the lead in her school's musical, and the dramatic events of her parents' telenovela-like divorce, Leslie abandons her good girl persona and turns from Kritzer to Hyde, unleashing her teenage Jew-rican vengeance upon the town. Drugs! Kleptomania! Pre-marital sex! Playing 30 different characters in a comic tour de force, Beautiful Disaster explores what happens when the shit hits the fan and rebellion meets reality."

Kritzer explored a wide range of music, performing covers of music by Tori Amos, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Alanis Morissette and Katy Perry, among others. Here, Kritzer performs Amos' "Winter," Madonna's "Like a Prayer," and Morissette's "You Oughta Know." If you didn't catch these performances live, you may be in luck—Kritzer and her company hope to bring the show back to Joe's Pub for another engagement. In the meantime, check out the clips.
