A Noise Within presents its award-winning production of Charles Dickens' classic Great Expectations to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at 8 PM. Directed by Julia Rodriguez Elliott and Geoff Elliott and adapted for the stage by Barbara Feld, the play earned critical acclaim as the winner of four Los Angeles Drama Critics Awards including Outstanding Production.

Set in 19th century England on Christmas Eve, Great Expectations unfolds the story of young Pip who, through a chance encounter, embarks on an extraordinary adventure, trading his humble existence for the adventures of London high life.

A Noise Within is one of southern California's premiere classical rep companies. Formerly based in Glendale, the company now works out of the Charles Luckman Auditorium on the campus of Cal State L.A.
