News A Play On Words, with Dykstra and Boyett, Begins Off-Broadway May 13 Brian Dykstra's A Play On Words begins performances May 13 Off-Broadway at the 59E59 Theaters.

Margarett Perry directs the production that originated at Ithaca's Kitchen Theatre Center and is presented through the Americas Off-Broadway festival.

A Play On Words, which co-stars playwright Dykstra and Mark Boyett, officially opens May 17 and continues through May 30.

"'Seinfeld' meets Waiting for Godot in this ferociously witty play on, about and exploding with language," according to press notes. "Rusty and Max have been friends since grade school and they've been arguing almost the entire time. Today they're scheming up something big."

Designing A Play On Words are Kelly Syring (set design), E.D. Intemann (lighting design), Hannah Kochman (costume design) and Nate Richardson (sound design).

Mark Boyett appeared in Dykstra's Clean Alternatives Off-Broadway. Dykstra has appeared in Rounding Third at Hartford's TheaterWorks, in Brian Park's Americana Absurdum in London and Off-Broadway in The Jesus Factor, Breaking Legs, Incommunicado and Tatjana in Color.
