Charles Fuller's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama A Soldier's Play will open at Long Beach Playhouse's studio theatre April 23. This is a co-production with the Paul Robeson Players.Fuller's work is set in 1944 Louisiana and deals with the murder of an unpopular sergeant in an all-Black army company. An exploration of the trickle-down effect of racism as it turns black man against black man amid the stresses of the Second World War, A Soldier's Play is directed by Charles W. Gray and features Robert Crow, David Krzisnik, Alfredo Miller, Jou Jou Papailler, Maurice Ort, Andre Mayers, Charles Allen, Neil Cox, Robert Joseph, Eric Quander, Sean Daniel, Jonathan Briddel and Phillip Call.
