News A Song Cycle for Soho, Featuring New Songs by U.K. Composers and Lyricists, to Be Staged at London's Soho Theatre A Song Cycle for Soho, featuring songs by several British composers and lyricists both established and emerging, will be presented at London's Soho Theatre, beginning performances Feb. 27 prior to an official opening Feb. 28, for a run through March 3.

The writers represented will include George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (best known for their additional songs for Mary Poppins), actor-director-writer Douglas Hodge (Tony winner for his appearance on Broadway in La Cage Aux Folles), Christopher Hamilton, Stuart Matthew Price, Dougal Irvine, Susannah Pearse and Tim Sutton. It is presented by Mercury Musical Developments (MMD), an organization dedicated to developing the craft of composers, lyricists and book-writers working in musical theatre. The show will be directed by MMD associate Simon Greiff, with musical direction by Sarah Travis. It will feature West End performers Michael Cantwell, James Gillan, Claire Moore and Niamh Perry.
