Tazewell Thompson directs the tense drama about the strained professional and personal relationship of two long-time cops who share a dark secret. A Steady Rain will run through May 8.

Fabel (The Farnsworth Invention, A Free Man of Color) stars as Joey, and Weiner (Thinner Than Water) is Denny. The Broadway production famously starred Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman.

Acccording to TheatreWorks, "Joey and Denny are two Chicago cops who have been best buddies since kindergarten. They are practically family: Joey helps out with Denny’s wife and kids; Denny keeps Joey away from the bottle. But when a domestic disturbance call takes a turn towards disaster, their friendship is put on the line. Filled with sharp storytelling and biting repartee, A Steady Rain is a poetic and gritty tale of two deeply loyal men struggling for survival in a world of pimps, prostitutes, and criminal lowlifes."

A Steady Rain has set design by Donald Eastman; the design team also includes Harry Nadal (costume design), Marcus Doshi (lighting design) and J. Hagenbuckle (sound design).
