Jill Santoriello, whose musical version of A Tale of Two Cities is currently receiving a full scale-production in Wichita, TX, is also at work on a new musical about the life of X-ray technician Carl Tanzler's odd love story with a Cuban patient named Elena Hoyos, according to Adweek.com.

Titled It Happened in Key West, the musical has music and lyrics by Santoriello and book and additional lyrics by Jason Huza. The project is conceived and produced by Jeremiah James. According to the songwriter's official website, Key West is described as such: "An eccentric but lovable mad scientist meets the beautiful young girl of his dreams. There are only two problems - she's married and she's dying! What happens next is the most unforgettable true love story you will ever see. Funny, shocking and deeply moving, this musical will make you re-examine what you believe about the nature of love, loyalty and commitment (either to a person or an asylum…)"

Mandy Gonzalez recorded a demo of a song from the musical, "What More Could I Wish For." Click here to listen to the song.

A Tale of Two Cities had a Broadway run in 2008.
