Continuing with the anniversary of the birth of the Spanish author Federico Garcia Lorca, the play A While, A Minute, A Century With Lorca will premiere in Barcelona's Teatro Tivoli, March 18.
. . .Lorca was created and directed by Jose Samano, and is based on text by Lorca and from the testimonies of various contemporary artists. The title is derived from verses written by Garcia Lorca in El Divan de Tamarit, in which the author said. " . . . I want to sleep a while . . . a while, a minute, a century, so that everyone will know I have not died . . . "
Jose Samano created this show intending to explain Lorca's personality to the public. He chose two women to this: Lola Herrera who will recite the poet's verses, and Carmen Linares who will sing them, along with six musicians who perform Flamenco.
The play was presented for the first time in a private performance at Madrid's Teatro Real, and will be seen very soon at various stages throughout Spain.
