The evening's entertainment, which will honor the legacy of the Off-Broadway company and offer an "original tribute to the genre of musical adaptations," is created and directed by two-time Tony nominee and What's That Smell? creator David Pittu.
Entitled An Evening of Unexpected Musical Adaptations, performers and presenters include Raul Esparza (Speed-the-Plow, Company), Felicity Huffman ("Transamerica," "Desperate Housewives"), Atlantic co-founder William H. Macy (Speed-the-Plow), F. Murray Abraham (Offices, Mauritius, Angels in America), Jonathan Cake (The Philanthropist, "The Tudors") and Academy Award-winner Ethan Coen ("No Country for Old Men," "Fargo," "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"). Additional performers will be announced shortly.
The gala begins at 6:30 PM and includes, cocktails, music, dinner and a performance from the announced artists. Proceeds benefit the Atlantic Theater Company productions, as well as the company's arts education outreach programs.
