News Abraham, Rees, Rauch and Urie Set for Red Bull's Revelation Readings F. Murray Abraham, Roger Rees and Michael Urie will take part in the Red Bull Theater's Obie-winning Revelation Readings series this fall.

The Off-Broadway company dedicated to the preservation of Jacobean and heightened-language plays, has announced the line-up for its 2008-2009 Monday night Revelation Readings series.

The season starts with a benefit reading of Amy Freed's Restoration Comedy on Sept. 15. "Ugly Betty" star Michael Urie will appear in the New York premiere of the play under the direction of Red Bull artistic director Jesse Berger. The 7 PM benefit reading will be preceded by a cocktail reception with the actors.

F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus) will appear in The Silent Woman by Ben Jonson on Sept. 29 under the direction of Eleanor Holdridge. Leigh Silverman (Well) directs David Greenspan's A Horse's Ass on Oct. 6.

Tony Award winner Roger Rees (Indiscretions) joins Lisa Harrow (Wit) for a reading of Percy Bysshe Shelley's The Cenci, under the direction of Eleanor Holdridge on Oct. 27. John Marston's The Malcontent will follow, featuring Matthew Rauch (Edward the Second) on Nov. 17.

The final offering of 2008 will be Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, directed by Mark Lamos (Cymbeline) on Dec. 8. Luis Alfaro's Electricidad: A Chicano take on the tragedy of Electra kicks-off the New Year on Jan. 12, 2009 under the direction of Lisa Peterson. Following will be The Royal Hunt of the Sun by Peter Shaffer on Feb. 23, 2009, to be directed by Joe Hardy.

The Revelation Readings officially conclude with Miguel de Cervantes The Siege of Numantia on March 2, 2009.
