Songwriter Scott Alan will release his eighth recording, the rock opera Lifeline, January 26. Featuring Alan on lead vocals, the album is currently available for pre-orders on iTunes and Amazon.

The new recording features guest vocals from husband and wife Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young (both alums of American Idol and Broadway's Hair), as well as Luke Edgemon, Melinda Doolittle, and Wendy Moten. The album features arrangements and orchestrations by Jason ‘Slim’ Gambill, who produces with Alan.

To celebrate the release, Alan returns for a week-long residency at Live at Zedel, inside London's Brasserie Zédel, January 28. The concerts will feature U.K. cast members from Wicked (Alice Fearn, Sophie Evans, Bradley Jaden), Kinky Boots (Olivier Award winner Matt Henry), Jesus Christ Superstar at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre (Olivier nominee Tyrone Huntley, Tim Newman, Kayleigh McKnight), Dreamgirls (Marisha Wallace, Joe Aaron Reid, Asmeret Ghebremichael), and more.

Alan is best known for the release of his 2007 debut album, Dreaming Wide Awake.
