According to the Associated Press, Gifford will join Hoda Kotb as a co-anchor of the fourth hour of NBC's "Today" beginning April 7. The seven-month-old fourth hour of the morning program airs at 10 AM ET. The announcement was made on the March 31 broadcast of "Today." Gifford, who was seated with "Today" co-hosts Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira, joked, "I'm eight years older, 10 pounds heavier, a half-inch shorter, and just in time for HD television." She added, "It's going to be good to be working. I'm really tired of staying home and watching Frank's old highlight films." The veteran performer is married to former football great Frank Gifford.

Best known as the co-host of "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee," Kathie Lee Gifford made her Broadway debut in Putting It Together. She is also the composer-lyricist of Under the Bridge and Saving Aimee.
