Guettel, who has also authored Myths and Hymns and Floyd Collins, will moderate the 8 PM concert and discussion that will take a look at what theatre writers describe as the "I Want Song," a musical number that provides the driving force for a character's action and motivation in musical theatre. Among the writers who will be featured are the writing team of Kyle Ewalt and Michael Walker (Bromance: The Dudesical), as well as Pregnancy Pact writers Julia Meinwald and Gordon Leary.
Newly added events also include Story Pirates After Dark, a musical sketch comedy for the younger crowd and their parents (Nov. 9 at 7 PM); the comedy cabaret Political Subversities (Nov. 10 at 7 PM); and Ithai Benjamin's The Princes of Persuasion’s Winter Picnic, featuring robot puppets and songs by Benjamin and Rebeca Raney (Dec. 21 at 7 PM).
