Broadway News Adam Pascal to Star in Pretty Woman on Broadway The Tony nominee will play Edward during Andy Karl's time off from the new musical in January 2019.

Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, Something Rotten!) will join the Broadway production of Pretty Woman: The Musical in the role of Edward Lewis. Pascal will step into Ed's shoes January 15–20, 2019, during leading man Andy Karl's time off.

“I always love a reason to come back to Broadway, so singing this score opposite Samantha Barks, in this sexy, romantic musical for eight performances was a no-brainer,” says Pascal.

Pretty Woman: The Musical has been playing at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway since July 20. Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the contemporary stage adaptation stars Samantha Barks as Vivian.

Based on the Julia Roberts-Richard Gere movie about a star-crossed meeting between a sex worker and a disillusioned businessman, the musical features a book co-written by the film’s director, the late Garry Marshall, and screenwriter J.F. Lawton, and music by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.

Following a world premiere in Chicago in March, Pretty Woman: The Musical opened on Broadway in August. The principal cast is completed by Tony nominee Orfeh (Legally Blonde) as Kit, Eric Anderson (Waitress) as Mr. Thompson, Jason Danieley (The Full Monty) as Philip Stuckey, and Kingsley Leggs (Sister Act) as James Morse.

Rounding out the cast are Allison Blackwell, Tommy Bracco, Brian Calì,Robby Clater, Jessica Crouch, Nico DeJesus, Anna Eilinsfeld, Matt Farcher, Lauren Lim Jackson, Renée Marino,Ellyn Marie Marsh, Jillian Mueller, Jake Odmark, Jennifer Sanchez, Matthew Stocke, Alex Michael Stoll, Alan Wiggins,Jesse Wildman Foster, and Darius Wright.

Pretty Woman: The Musical is currently on sale on Broadway through September 1, 2019.
