The 9 PM concert is the first of RTC’s Undersung Heroes Series, a trio of concerts celebrating rarely produced musicals and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The cast will feature the previously reported Celina Carvajal (Toxic Avenger, Tarzan, Dracula) as Gittel Moscal, Kilty Reidy (Drowsy Chaperone, In My Life) as Jerry Ryan, Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose) as David, Erik Sisco as Oscar and LaDonna Burns as Sophie. John Bronston directs.
Newly announced for the evening are Sean Ewing (West Side Story revival) as Julio Gonzales, Kenney Green (Growing Up 70's) as Sparkle, Erin Crosby (Forbidden Broadway: The Roast of Utopia, Shout! The Mod Musical) as Ethel and Danielle Frimer.
Seesaw, according to press notes, is an "intimate, engaging love story and a big, brassy musical comedy rolled into one delightful evening of theatre. Jerry Ryan (Kilty Reidy), a handsome WASPish lawyer from Omaha who has left his wife and fled to New York meets Gittel Mosca (Celina Carvajal), a single, loveable Jewish girl from the Bronx who's studying to be a dancer. This unlikely pair meet, fall in love, and part in a bittersweet tale that is full of fun, music and laughter through tears."
