The play is billed as a "remarkable one-woman show featuring more than a dozen characters who try to make sense of the eerie events unfolding around their lakeside town during a lazy summer."

Lesley Gurule plays multiple characters of all ages. The design team includes Holly Breuer (sets and props), Matthew Miller (lighting), Ryan Gastelum (sound) and Caitlin Headley (costumes). JR Goldberg is stage manager.

The K of D plays the Charles R. Wood Theater to July 2.

The season also includes the world premiere of the 1990s-set musical Hello Out There, a new play by Steven Dietz, a reading of a work in progress and more.

Shooting Star by Steven Dietz, directed by Mark Fleischer, is a co-production with WaterTower Theatre in Addison, TX. Performances play July 7-16. In it, according to ATF, "Reed and Elena were college sweethearts but haven't seen each other in 25 years. He's grown into a suit-and-tie with a Blackberry while she has remained an idealistic hippy. When both are stranded at the same snowed-in airport during the 'blizzard of the century,' the conversation crackles and the sparks begin to fly."

Diana Sheehan and Jim Crawford play the reunited lovers. The design team includes Michael Sullivan (sets), Jeff Stover (lighting), Scott Guenther (projections and sound), and Terry Martin (costumes).

Hello Out There, the new musical, has book and lyrics by Eric Price and music by Frank Terry. Benjamin Endsley Klein directs, Wendy Seyb choreographs and Andrew Gerle is musical director. Performances play July 21-30.

"It's 1995 — the dawn of the Internet Age and the beginning of one of the most bullish financial eras in American history," according to ATF notes. "Three 14-year-olds from New Jersey — a stock market wiz, a computer geek and the self-proclaimed third-most popular girl in school — decide to spend their summer wheeling and dealing in the high-stakes world of securities. They're only kids, after all, out for a little harmless fun. What could go wrong? Throw in a cabbie from Bosnia, an SEC investigator and assorted other helpful adults, and you have the makings of a first-class financial meltdown — all accompanied by a delightful lineup of nearly 20 original songs."

According to ATF artistic director Mark Fleischer, "World premieres have been an important part of ATF's mission since the beginning. Developing these shows and sharing them with an audience for the first time is a thrilling experience for all involved. Eric and Frank's musical comedy is no exception. The story is funny, touching and both timely and nostalgic."

ATF has been working with the writers and artistic team for over a year developing the show including a public reading in New York City. The actors for the show are currently being cast in New York City.

The design team includes Caleb Levengood (sets), Joel Silver (lighting), Ryan Gastelum (sound), and David Kaley (costumes).

Dream Street, a play in progress by Sean Christopher Lewis, directed by Fleischer, appears June 26-27. South Street in Glens Falls is the setting for one of the first pieces commissioned by the new ATF Founder's Fund for New Work. According to ATF, "Since the late 18th-century, South Street has been the home of bars, gambling, restaurants and entertainment of all kinds. It was a stop on the vaudeville circuit and a site for the storage of Canadian whiskey on its way to New York City during Prohibition. Today, South Street continues to evolve, with development efforts that some say threaten its very character."

The play is "based on interviews with residents, business owners, community leaders and others with intimate knowledge of the area, the play takes a fresh look at the past, present and future of the historic street."

Originally from St. Johnsville, NY, Lewis previously performed two of his acclaimed one-man shows at ATF in 2009 and 2010.

Also booked is Second Act Cabaret, featuring Gary Adler and Phoebe Kreutz, July 12-15 at 9:45 PM (following select performances of Shooting Star). Altar Boyz composer-lyricist Gary Adler returns for a special encore cabaret performance. He will share the stage with his songwriting partner Phoebe Kreutz, performing songs from their musicals.
