News Adrienne Warren, Zak Resnick, Blake Daniel and More Will Sing Music of Joey Contreras at Rockwood Concert Adrienne Warren, who starred in Broadway's Bring It On, and Zak Resnick, who currently stars in Broadway's Mamma Mia!, are among the performers who will debut new music from songwriter Joey Contreras at his Aug. 4 concert at Rockwood Music Hall.

The evening, set to begin at 9 PM, will also feature performances from Hannah Elless (Godspell), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Blake Daniel (Spring Awakening), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell) and Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair national tour).

The evening promises "stories of love, heartbreak and big dreams set to a backdrop of piano-driven pop and addictive hooks. In preparation of his upcoming album, 'Young Kind of Love,' be the first to hear Joey's latest material, performed by a rockin' line up of some of the hottest Broadway talent."

"This concert will reflect the more pop direction of the new album," added songwriter Contreras. "It still has layers of my musical theatre material, but with a drive and edge of the Top 40 songs that I listen to on a daily basis."

Contreras' original compositions and arrangements have been featured in NYC venues including Joe's Pub, Lincoln Center, (le) Poisson Rouge, the Laurie Beechman Theater, The Duplex and multiple Broadway in South Africa galas at the Manhattan Center. Contreras, the recipient of the 2010 ASCAP Foundation Max Dreyfus Scholarship Award and the first Artist in Residence for the Broadway Dreams Foundation, also wrote the music and lyrics for the musical This Thing Called Love as well as his debut album "Love Me, Love Me Not: The Music of Joey Contreras."
