News Adventure Theatre MTC's 2013-14 Season to Feature Natascia Diaz in Miss Nelson is Missing! Adventure Theatre MTC has announced its 2013-14 season, which will feature several popular children's books adapted for the stage.

The season will open with Goodnight Moon, Chad Henry's musical adaptation of Margaret Wise Brown's story about a rabbit who will not go to sleep. Directed by Roberta Gasbarre, the production runs Sept. 20-Oct. 27.

The Twelve Days of Christmas by Renee Calarco will run Nov. 15-Dec. 30. Directed by Michael Dove, the show will feature Deidra LaWan Starnes as a partridge who needs to put the Christmas season together despite warring turtledoves, missing golden rings and geese who have defected to Florida. 

Miss Nelson is Missing!, Joan Cushing's musical adaptation of Henry Allard's two children's books about a schoolteacher who disappears, will star Natascia Diaz. Directed by Jennifer Nelson, the production runs Jan. 17, 2014-March 9.

The season will also feature The Jungle Book, Tracy Power's adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's story about an orphan who is raised by jungle animals before facing the tiger who killed his parents. Directed by Shirley Serotsky, The Jungle Book runs April 4-May 25.

The season concludes with Pinkalicious, a story of a young girl who cannot restrain herself from eating pink cupcakes until her entire body turns pink. The musical is adapted by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann from the book of the same name, with music by John Gregor and lyrics by all three collaborators. Adventure artistic director Michael Bobbitt will direct the production, which will feature Felicia Curry. Pinkalicious runs June 25-Aug. 31.
