Singer-actor Fantasia Barrino will sing two holiday concerts in New York City: December 11 at the Highline Ballroom and December 13 at the Apollo Theatre. The Christmas After Midnight concert is part of a national concert tour for her new album of the same name.
The performer rose to fame as winner of the third season of American Idol, and has since gone on to a successful recording and concert career.
The concert’s title, Christmas After Midnight, is a reference to her most recent Broadway appearance, stepping into a featured role in the 2013 musical After Midnight. Barrino previously took over the role of Celie during the original Broadway run of The Color Purple.
Tickets for the 8 PM December 11 concert can be ordered from the Highline Ballroom, which is located at 431 W. 16th Street in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. Tickets for the December 13 concert at the Apollo on 125th Street in Harlem can be ordered here.
The New York appearances are part of a tour that launched at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, on November 19, and will take her to Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Baltimore, and other cities in the coming weeks. Click here for a complete list of tour dates.
