Dinner With Friends, Donald Margulies' hit Off-Broadway play about fractured marriages and the friendships that fall into the crevasses, will offer audiences more perspective on the state of modern marriage Jan. 26, when a post-show discussion series begins.
"Relationship experts" Dr. Bonnie Eaker Weil and Robin Gorman Newman will moderate post-shows chats with the cast to explore the "interpersonal issues" the play explores. They will lead a Q&A with cast and audience. The moderators have penned such books as "Adultery, the Forgivable Sin," and "Make Up, Don't Break Up "(both by Dr. Weil) and "How to Meet a Mensch in New York" (by Newman).
Matthew Arkin, Lisa Emery, Carolyn McCormick and Kevin Kilner star in the grown-up comedy, which opened in November 1999 at the Variety Arts Theatre.
Margulies also penned Collected Stories.
Tickets are $55. The Variety Arts is located at 110 Third Ave. at 13th Street. For more information, call (212) 239-6200. -- By Kenneth Jones
