News After Party to Welcome Kritzer and Falsettoland Stars Oct. 20 The After Party, billed as "an informal social gathering for the theatrically inclined," will continue Oct. 20 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Leslie Kritzer, who is currently scoring raves for her Joe's Pub cabaret act Leslie Kritzer Is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches, and Colin Hanlon and Michael Hunsaker, who will co-star in the upcoming Falsettoland benefit concert, will be the evening's special guests. Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" features Ray Fellman at the piano and Sarajean Devenport behind the bar. Amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic. The "Party" begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM. Kritzer, Hanlon and Hunsaker will all perform during the evening.

Leslie Kritzer has been seen on Broadway in Hairspray and Off-Broadway in The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Bat Boy and Godspell. Her other theatrical credits include the national tour of Hairspray and regional productions of Funny Girl and Grease. She will be seen later this season in the Broadway bow of Legally Blonde. Director Ben Rimalower helmed the Off-Broadway production of Joy as well as the all-star benefit concert of Snoopy.

A concert of Falsettoland — the Off-Broadway William Finn-James Lapine musical that later became the second act of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical Falsettos — will be presented Nov. 6 at New World Stages to benefit Miracle House. The cast — directed by John Znidarsic — will feature Jill Abramovitz (Cordelia), Zachary Allen (Jason), Keith Gerchak (Mendel), Colin Hanlon (Whizzer), Lisa Howard (Trina), Michael Hunsaker (Marvin) and Leisa Mather (Charlotte). The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
