Off-Broadway News Afterglow Ends Extended Off-Broadway Run August 12 Following multiple extensions, the show plays its final performance at the Davenport Theatre.

Afterglow plays its final performance at The Loft at The Davenport Theatre August 12. The long-running, multiple-extended show closes after celebrating more than one year Off-Broadway.

Written and directed by S. Asher Gelman, Afterglow began performances June 12, 2017, and officially opened June 23.

The play is a raw, intimate, and sometimes controversial exploration of the emotional, intellectual, and physical connections among three men. The cast is made up of Joe Chisholm, Brandon Haagenson, and David Merten. Tim Young is the understudy.

As previously reported, Afterglow is set to receive its regional debut in Salt Lake City this fall and will be produced internationally in Amsterdam, Mexico City, and London.

The production features scenic design by Ann Beyersdorfer, costume design by Fabian Aguilar, lighting design by Jamie Roderick, sound design by Alex Dietz-Kest, and dramaturgy by Mike Ross. Nina Kauffman is the show's assistant director, Kate Lumpkin is the casting director, Laura Malseed is the production stage manager, Will Chaloner is the assistant stage manager, Evan Bernardin Productions is the general manager, and Gwynne Richmond is the company manager.
