News AIDS-Themed Play by Nicky Silver, About Dysfunctional Family, Will Return to New York City Pterodactyls, a play by Nicky Silver (The Lyons) that was originally produced at the Vineyard Theatre in 1993, will return to New York City for a limited engagement in the East Village.

Directed by Stephen Kaliski, the work will play July 17-Aug. 3
 at Teatro Circulo.

The cast will feature Lori Kee, Maggie Low, Jeremiah Maestas, Dennis Gagomiros and Roger Manix.

Here's how it's billed: "When a young man returns home with a diagnosis of AIDS, we expect mother, father, and sister to rush to his side. However, the entire Duncan family is too absorbed in its own individual miseries (Hypochondria! Marriage! Nostalgia! Hors d'oeuvres!) to care much about a close-to-home case of a pandemic illness. Unable to communicate about a single thing, the Duncans start to disintegrate, and we begin to see that most horrific and iconic disease of the past fifty years is actually the lease of their worries."

Other members of the creative team include set designer Peri Grabin Leong, lighting designer Jessica Greenberg, costume designer Marisa Kaugars, sound designer Adam Salberg, assistant director Harriet Lynde and general manager Eric Vigdorov.

Teatro Circulo is located at 64 East 4th Street (between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). For more information and tickets, visit Ptero-Play.com.
