News Alabama Shakes Sings to 'Your Cheatin' Heart' Through Sept. 19 The Alabama Shakespeare Festival will present a tribute to country music legend, Hank Williams, when they present Mark Harelik and Randal Myler's Lost Highway: The Music and Legend of Hank Williams, Aug. 10-Sept. 19, for a Aug. 13, opening at the Festival Stage of the Carolyn Blount Theatre.

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival will present a tribute to country music legend, Hank Williams, when they present Mark Harelik and Randal Myler's Lost Highway: The Music and Legend of Hank Williams, Aug. 10-Sept. 19, for a Aug. 13, opening at the Festival Stage of the Carolyn Blount Theatre.

Lost Highway tells the life story of one of country music's most tragic stars through his unforgettable music like "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "Mind Your Own Business." The production follows the life of Williams from his roots playing in bars throughout Alabama and the entire South, to his success at the Grand Ol' Opry and as a Nashville recording artist.

Jason Petty and Alex Kilgore will alternate performances for the role of Hank. Other cast members include: Michael Mandel and Teresa Williams. Kent Gash will direct.
