Telly Leung, current star of Broadway’s Aladdin, previously featured in In Transit and Allegiance, will take the stage December 11 at Wall Street Theater in Norwalk, Connecticut, for a solo concert showcasing his two solo albums, I’ll Cover You and Songs for You.
The 7:30 PM concert, performed on his night off from the long-running Disney musical, will feature Leung singing some Broadway classics along with “musical twists” on songs by Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Alan Menken, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and others.
He will be accompanied by a band of Broadway pit musicians conducted by Gary Adler (Avenue Q, Alter Boyz).
Leung is teasing that he may be joined by a friends from his Broadway shows, which include his debut in the 2002 revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song opposite Lea Salonga, and the Roundabout Theater Company revival of Sondheim’s and John Weidman’s Pacific Overtures.
Wall Street Theater is located at 71 Wall Street in Norwalk, Connecticut. Tickets, which range from $10 to $50, can be ordered by clicking here.
