The one-hour event "Out on the Edge" will features "the best of alternative comedy with a distinctly gay edge," according to a release. The musical group BETTY who performed their BETTY Rules Off-Broadway in 2002-3 at the Zipper Theatre under the direction of Rent's Michael Greif will be featured on the show.

Also performing will be The Hazzards ("Gay Boyfriend"), Bayne Gibby and Johnny McGovern (as The Gay Pimp). "Out on the Edge" will also include stand-up by Jim David, Rene Hicks and Elvira Kurt with special guest Buddy Cole from "Kids in the Hall."

Cumming, who won a Tony Award for his performance as the Emcee in the Broadway revival of Cabaret, recently appeared in the sequel "X-Men 2". The Scottish thespian has starred on stage in Design for Living and his theatre company Art Party's inaugural production, Elle.

"Out on the Edge" is executive produced by Paul Miller and Kimber Rickabaugh. Lauren Gray serves as executive producer while Paul Miller serves as director.
