Tony winner Alan Cumming, most recently on Broadway in the 2014 revival of Cabaret, will offer two evenings at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (1000 Fifth Avenue) in February 2018.

On February 13 at 7 PM, the stage and screen star will perform a dramatic reading of The Animals: Love Letters Between Christopher Isherwood and Don Bachardy. Cumming, with the help of writer and scholar Katherine Bucknell, brings to life the emotional correspondence between celebrated novelist and screenwriter Isherwood and artist Bachardy, who shared their love through letters while daring to be openly gay in mid-century Hollywood. The reading is presented in conjunction with David Hockney's 1968 portrait of the pair, which is on view at The Met Fifth Avenue through February 25, 2018.

Many Fathoms Deep: A Valentine from Alan Cumming—which brings Club Cumming, the Tony winner's East Village bar, uptown to The Met—will be presented February 14 at 7 PM. The actor will host an evening of amour-themed cabaret, featuring musical director Lance Horne and special guests, for a bawdy tribute to St. Valentine.

Both evenings will be held in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.
